The term “Kashan” refers to a hand-knotted rug featuring a diamond-shaped medallion. Named after a Mughal king who played a crucial role in the development of Persian textile art during the 16th and 17th centuries, Shah Abbas fields showcase a sequence of curvilinear flower motifs that provide a garden-like background. Additionally, these designs appear in a range of Persian rug styles, available in two variations: all-over or with a central medallion.

This extremely rich Kashan rug features a Shah Abbasi field and a central medallion with primary colors of midnight blue and ivory. The all-over floral vines on a red field, paired with black borders, create a stunning visual appeal. In contrast, the lilac blue palette in the borders offers a calming touch.

This luxurious Kashan rug is hand-knotted from 100% wool. Furthermore, the colors used for the threads derive from natural dyes extracted from vegetables. With a PSI count of 150 x 90, this rug exemplifies superior craftsmanship.
